PUBG Weapon Comparison

Pick any two guns and see exactly how they differ — damage, rate of fire, DPS, magazine size, and how many body shots each needs against Level 1, 2 and 3 armour. All 46 weapons are listed further down.

All PUBG Weapon Stats (2026)

Body damage, rate of fire, DPS, magazine size and ammunition for every weapon, grouped by class. The last column shows how many body shots are needed to down a full-health target wearing no vest, a Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 vest. Weapons marked CRATE only appear in air drops and secret rooms. A dash means the source does not publish that value — we would rather leave a gap than fill it with a guess.

Source: all figures come from The PUBG Wiki (wiki.gg), which records weapon stats patch by patch. Almost every entry below is tagged patch 22.2.8.1; retrieved 2026-09-11. Damage against each armour level is the source's own figure, not a percentage we applied ourselves.

How to read these numbers

Damage is the base figure for a body hit at close range before armour. Rate of fire is rounds per minute, and DPS multiplies the two — it tells you the theoretical ceiling if every shot lands, which is why a high-damage rifle with a slow trigger can still lose a close fight to something lighter. Armour reduces incoming damage by a fixed percentage: 30% at Level 1, 40% at Level 2 and 55% at Level 3, applied to body shots by the vest and to head shots by the helmet.

Recoil and bullet velocity are deliberately not listed. Both shift with nearly every balance patch, and an outdated recoil figure misleads more than it helps. The stats here stay stable between patches, so the comparisons hold up. If you spot a value that no longer matches the live game, tell us and we will correct it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many shots does it take to kill through a Level 3 vest?

A Level 3 vest cuts body damage sharply: an AKM lands 47 on an unarmoured chest but only 21.1 through Level 3, turning a three-shot kill into five. The tables here use the damage figures the wiki publishes for each armour level rather than applying a blanket percentage, so the count matches what the game actually does.

Which assault rifle hits hardest?

Among ground-loot assault rifles the Mk47 Mutant leads on raw damage at 49, ahead of the AKM at 47 and the Beryl M762 at 44. Raw damage is not the whole story though — the Mutant is burst-only and the AKM fires slower than the 5.56mm rifles, so compare the DPS column too. The Groza matches the AKM at 47 but only spawns in crates and secret rooms.

Does 7.62mm always beat 5.56mm?

Not by itself. 7.62mm weapons hit harder per bullet but have stronger recoil and usually a lower rate of fire, so sustained damage is closer than the raw damage number suggests. 5.56mm rifles are easier to control in long bursts, which often matters more than the per-shot difference at mid range.

Are crate weapons worth the detour to a secret room?

Usually yes. Crate weapons cannot be found through normal looting at all, and the gap is large: the AWM lands 262.5 on an unprotected head and still 118.1 through a Level 3 helmet — a one-shot kill no other weapon in the game can manage. Our map pages show where those rooms are on each map.

Where do these numbers come from?

Every figure is taken from The PUBG Wiki, which records the values patch by patch. Almost all of the entries here carry patch 22.2.8.1. Nothing is estimated: where the wiki does not publish a value, the cell shows a dash instead of a guess. If a number no longer matches the live game, tell us and we will update it.

Why are recoil and bullet velocity not listed?

They change with almost every balance patch, and a stale recoil figure misleads more than it helps. Damage, rate of fire, magazine size and ammo type hold steady far longer, so the comparisons here stay valid between updates.

Where to find crate weapons

The strongest guns in the table — Groza, AWM, Mk14 EBR, Lynx AMR, DBS and the M249 — never spawn as ground loot. They come from air drops and from the secret rooms hidden on each map. Our interactive maps mark every room and the areas where the keys that open them actually spawn.
