Every figure on this page comes from KRAFTON’s official PUBG developer API, which exposes per-season statistics for each game mode separately. That separation matters: a squad K/D and a solo K/D describe very different games, and averaging them hides more than it shows. The table above keeps the modes apart and only totals them where a combined number is genuinely meaningful.
K/D, Damage and What Actually Predicts Placement
K/D is the number everyone checks first and the weakest predictor of placement on its own. A player who hot drops every match can carry a high K/D and a low average finish, while a careful rotator posts a modest K/D and far more top tens. The figures worth reading together are average damage per match and top ten rate: damage shows whether you win the fights you take, and top ten rate shows whether you are choosing the right fights in the first place. If damage is high and top ten rate is low, the problem is usually rotation timing rather than aim.
Headshot Rate and Weapon Choice
Headshot percentage tracks recoil control more than aim. Players who switch from 7.62mm rifles to 5.56mm ones often see it climb, because the lighter recoil keeps more of a burst on target.
